Service & Dispatch
Are you really open 24/7?
Yes. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year including holidays. Our dispatch line answers around the clock. Real emergency calls (door stuck, security risk, vehicle trapped, hanging spring) get priority routing day or night, with no after-hours surcharge.
How fast can you get to my home?
Most NYC-metro calls get same-day service. Average arrival is around 90 minutes from the time of the call during daytime hours. Overnight calls vary depending on the queue, but real emergencies are dispatched within minutes regardless of the hour.
What's a "real emergency"?
A real emergency is a situation where the door cannot be safely left as-is until business hours: door stuck open (security risk), broken spring with hanging cable that could fall, vehicle trapped inside, fresh accident damage exposing the home to weather, or a commercial roll-up that prevents store opening. These get priority dispatch.
Do you charge a service-call fee?
No. Estimates are free across the NYC metro. We only charge if you approve the work in writing. There is no $39 or $59 trip fee that gets credited only if you commit on the spot.

Warranty & Trust
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We carry general liability insurance and workers compensation. We provide a certificate of insurance on request for HOAs, co-op boards, and commercial property managers.
What's your warranty?
Parts carry the manufacturer's warranty (typically 1-7 years on springs, 1-3 years on opener components, varies by brand). Our labor is warranted for one year in writing on every invoice. If something we installed fails within the warranty window, we come back and fix it at no charge.
What brands do you service?
All major brands. Trucks regularly stock parts for LiftMaster, Chamberlain, Genie, Marantec, Sommer, Clopay, Wayne Dalton, Amarr, Raynor, Overhead Door, C.H.I., Haas, Northwest. Obscure or older parts can usually be sourced within 24 hours from local NYC suppliers.
Common Problems
How do I know if my springs are about to fail?
Watch for: noticeably louder operation than usual, the door feeling heavy or unbalanced when you disconnect the opener and lift it manually, visible gaps in the spring coils, rust spots, or the door stopping mid-cycle. Replacing a worn spring proactively costs the same as replacing a broken one but avoids the emergency call and trapped vehicle.
My opener is 12 years old. Should I replace it?
Probably yes. Garage door openers typically last 12-18 years. Common end-of-life failures include stripped main gear, failed capacitor, dead logic board. Replacing proactively ($329-$589 installed) is more cost-effective than waiting for a failure and paying emergency dispatch plus a rushed install.
Can a garage door spring really kill someone?
Yes. Torsion springs store enormous energy under tension. A spring that snaps under load can release several hundred foot-pounds of force in a fraction of a second, sending sharp metal fragments across the garage. Spring replacement is the #1 cause of serious DIY garage door injuries. The cost difference between DIY and professional ($189-$349) is not worth the risk.
Why does my garage door open by itself sometimes?
A few possible causes: a stuck wall button, a remote with a stuck button (especially if loose in a car cup holder with weight pressing on it), interference from a neighbor's opener (rare with modern rolling-code remotes), or a damaged logic board. Most "ghost opening" calls turn out to be a stuck button โ fix is usually free or very cheap.

Do you take credit cards?
